A couple of weekends ago, I played in a home match for Sussex against Surrey at the usual Hassocks venue. Although I managed a draw against a previously difficult opponent, unfortunately Sussex lost 6-10 to their local rivals.

County Match (Open) 2019-20: Sussex – Surrey
At the end of September, Sussex played Surrey in the first county match of the season. Unfortunately, Sussex lost 7-9 against the higher-rated team. I did, however, have the satisfaction of winning an interesting game.
