Horsham 1 made the long trip down to Hastings to play Hastings 2 last night. It proved worthwhile as the team secured a 3-1 victory. I contributed a win on board three.
Horsham Chess Club Championship 2022-23: Heath – Mansson
Last Tuesday I played my game with Black against Chris Heath in the Club Championship. Although both sides had their chances, the game ultimately ended in a drawn rook and pawn endgame.

I was up against Jordy Savill in the third round of the knockout last night. I managed to score a convincing win, and so move on to the semi-finals.

Mid-Sussex League Division 1 2022-23: Horsham 1 – Hastings 1
Last night, I won a rather strange game in the Horsham 1 home match against Hastings 1 in Mid-Sussex League Division One. It was crucial in winning the match 2.5-1.5, as the other three games were drawn.
Mid-Sussex League Knockout 2022-23: Horsham – Sussex University
Horsham scored a good 3-1 win over Sussex University in the League Knockout. As both sides were sufficiently close in terms of grading, there was no handicap for either team.
