McArthur Cup 2022-23: Horsham – Lewes
Last night, Horsham managed to win the McArthur Cup in a closely-contested final against Lewes. The match finished 3-3, but was decided on board count in Horsham’s favour.

Last night, I played my penultimate game in this season’s club championship. I was up against Phil Stimpson with the black pieces. The game ended up as a draw, following some adventures.

Horsham Chess Club Quickplay Knockout 2022-23: Mansson – Comley
Last night I played the quickplay knockout plate final against Ian Comley. I managed to win both my games in fairly straightforward fashion, making me the winner of the plate competition for the first time.

Mid-Sussex League Division 1 2022-23: Horsham 1 – Hastings 2
Horsham 1 made the long trip down to Hastings to play Hastings 2 last night. It proved worthwhile as the team secured a 3-1 victory. I contributed a win on board three.
Horsham Chess Club Championship 2022-23: Heath – Mansson
Last Tuesday I played my game with Black against Chris Heath in the Club Championship. Although both sides had their chances, the game ultimately ended in a drawn rook and pawn endgame.
