Sussex League Division 1 2023-24: Horsham 1 – Eastbourne 2
Last night, Horsham 1 continues their successful start to the season with a 3.5-0.5 wins over Eastbourne 2. My game saw me defeat Laurence Butt with the Black pieces.
Horsham Club Quickplay Knockout 2023-24: Mansson – A.Reid
Last Tuesday I played my first round game in this year’s Horsham Chess Club Quickplay Knockout competition. I was up against Andrew Reid and managed to win our two game match as might be expected, given our relative grading.
Horsham Chess Club Quickplay Knockout 2022-23: Mansson – Trofin
Yesterday night was the last meeting of the club before Christmas. I took the opportunity to play my third round match in the Quickplay Knockout Plate Competition against Marian Trofin. I managed to win 2-0, taking me into the semi-final.
Horsham Club Quickplay Knockout 2021-22: Mansson – Harbott
I was up against Peter Harbott in the Semi-Final of the quickplay knockout. In the end it was a fairly straightforward 2-0 win, although there were a few nervy moments in the second game in particular.
