Sussex League Division 1 2024-25: Horsham 1 – Hastings 1
Horsham 1 suffered a bad defeat against Hastings 1 last knight by a margin of 0.5-3.5. I did manage to draw with John Sugden on board three, but our other three games ended in defeat.

Sussex League Division 1 2024-25: Horsham 1 – Hayward Heath 1
Last night, Horsham 1 were playing away in the Sussex League against Haywards Heath 1. We managed to secure a comfortable victory thanks to wins on the lower boards.

Horsham Club Quickplay Knockout 2024-25: Mansson – Ratcliffe
On Tuesday, I was up against promising junior James Ratcliffe in the quickplay knockout. Unfortunately, despite obtain good positions in both games, I was eliminated from the competition.

Horsham 1 started the New Year with a draw against a decent Lewes side. On board three, I had the Black pieces against Louis Buckland. I managed to save the game after a difficult struggle.

Horsham Chess Club Championship 2024-25: Mansson – Comley
Last Tuesday I was up against Ian Comley in round five of the club championship. I managed to win again, putting myself in the chasing pack half a point off the leaders.
