Last night I was up against Roger Waddingham in the second round of the club knockout. I managed to win to proceed to the next round.
The game started with a Reti Opening that developed in rather unorthodox fashion. A serious misjudgement on move 15 by my opponent gave me a clear advantage; seeing that his position was otherwise hopeless, he tried a series of sacrifices, but none of these worked, and I was able to consolidate my position and win.
I give the game below with some notes.
