Mid-Sussex League Division 1 2018-19: Horsham 1 – Brighton 2
Last Tuesday, Horsham 1 scored a 4.5-0.5 win over Brighton 2. My game against Joe Everett was a comprehensive victory in 26 moves; after missing his chance on move 12, my opponent’s position rapidly went downhill.

Horsham Club Championship 2018-19: A.Taylor – Mansson
Following my disappointing draw in my first Club Championship game, it was good to get back on track with a win. Playing Black against Alex Taylor, I obtained a better engame after 15 moves; although he defended well for a … Continue reading
Horsham Club Championship 2018-19: Marshall – Mansson
The result of my first game in the rook this season was a little disappointing, as I was held to a draw by John Marshall, against whom I have generally done well. I don’t think I reacted as well as … Continue reading

Horsham Club Knockout 2018-19: Mansson – Helliwell
I played my first competitive game of the chess season last Tuesday, against Peter Helliwell in the Knockout. The game itself was one-sided, as Peter chose an inferior line of the Dragon and soon went down in flames.
