Last night, Horsham 1 played away in the league against Brighton 1. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, as in the last game to finish Gavin Lock defeated Callum Brewer, to cancel out Luke Rutherford’s win against Mark Broom.
I was up against Albert Eldridge on board four with the Black pieces. We reached a balanced position out of the opening. My opponent unwisely decided to force matters, but I failed to take my chance to establish a clear advantage. The game soon after ended in a draw.
