Horsham Club Knockout 2024-25: Mansson – Miller

Last night I played against Daniel Miller in the Club Knockout. We had drawn our first game, so a replay was required.

This time I had the white pieces and the game started as a sharp Sicilian Defence. I managed to build up a winning position; after we both traded mistakes, I ended up in an endgame with an extra piece. Although the realisation of my advantage was nervier than I would have liked due to my time shortage, I did managed to win in the end. I therefore proceed to the next round.

I give the game below with some notes.
